Dhrupad comes in Doon with Padmabhushan R F Dagar

hi all....I must say that dhrupad was one of its own kinds...Dagar Sahab was so happy to be here to perform in schools inspite of his age and health not supporting him in the Roza Days...We had fabulous audience in The Asian School on the 12th Sept '08 and Jaswant Modern School on the 13th morning...I was fortunate enough to spend so much time with them...The best thing which touched my heart was that after so many communal problems in the country now a days Dagar Sahab started both his performances with a saraswati shlok..He taught the importance of Om...He seemed to be a true example of that any form of art does not depend on our religion...Me as a member of Spic Macay would want to have Dagar Sahab again in Dehradun as we in todays world want people like him to help us not forget our culture alongwith the brotherhood in our country
